November begins the season of family, home and holidays, each evoking feelings of thankfulness for our many blessings. For Prym Consumer USA Inc., International Quilt Festival is a major part of the month with all the excitement and new products surrounding the show. November 4-7 is International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas. This huge show offers award-winning work by quilt artists throughout the world. From new twists on traditional quilts to the dazzling effects of art quilts, the show get better each year. If you are lucky enough to attend, please plan on stopping by the OmnigridT booth. We will be demonstrating our new OmnigripT rulers and Nancy Johnson-Srebro will be joining us to introduce her new book, Stars By Magic, from C&T Publishing. She has taken the work out of creating star blocks and Omnigrip's Diamond Free® ruler completes the process. For those of you fortunate to own Plan Bee, the ultimate quilt planner, or if you are curious to learn more about it, the designers, Connie Scharff and Jessi Jung, will be in our booth as well. We look forward to meeting each of you and sharing information about our new products.This month's project is a Beaded Brooch. We have combined seed beads, fabric, covered buttons and double stick tape to create a wonderful piece of jewelry. This charming project is very easy to complete and makes a terrific gift for anyone on your holiday list. Hollywood Trims continues to offer trendy new products. Ostretch is a new version of the popular Ostrich trim that will take your projects to a new dimension. It has the ability to stretch so it is perfect for knits or anywhere you need a little give. Use it to add pizzazz to a neckline, cuffs, or bottom of a sweater. It is the perfect compliment to this season's fashions.Another new addition to Ostrich trim is the Sparkling addition.
